Why your feet matter in sport
Every stride, jump or swing sends force up through your feet, ankles, knees and hips. If your foot rolls in too far, stays too rigid or takes pressure unevenly, the rest of your body has to compensate. Over time this can show up as heel pain, shin splints, knee or lower back ache, or feet that feel tired and sore after activity.
Custom orthotics are not a replacement for good training, suitable footwear and rest. But by supporting your foot in a better position, they can help spread the load more evenly and ease the strain on the areas that are working too hard.
Common problems we see in active people
- Heel pain and plantar fasciitis
- Pain under the ball of the foot (metatarsalgia)
- Shin splints and Achilles discomfort
- Knee pain linked to the way the foot moves
- Flat feet or high arches that tire quickly
Made for your sport and your footwear
At your free consultation we carry out a gait analysis, look closely at your feet and talk through the activities you do. Your insoles are then handmade in durable urethane foam, in pillow soft, medium or firm, to suit your activity and fit the shoes or boots you use for it.
