Children’s Orthotics – How We Help Growing Feet

Dr Insole’s custom orthotic insoles for children are designed to gently support growing feet as they develop. Individually made for each child, our orthotics help encourage a more natural foot position and provide subtle support for common developmental patterns, such as dropped arches or feet that roll inward.
Individually made for each child, our bespoke children’s orthotics help guide the feet into a more natural position, supporting balance and stability and addressing common biomechanical patterns seen during growth, including dropped arches, feet that roll inward, and general foot instability.
As children grow, their feet and ankles are constantly adapting to changes in balance, coordination and activity levels. While many developmental patterns are a normal part of growth, some children benefit from gentle guidance to help support healthy movement and reduce unnecessary strain through the feet and legs.
When appropriate, custom orthotic insoles can provide subtle support during everyday activities. By improving foot and ankle alignment and encouraging more even body weight distribution, orthotics may help reduce ongoing strain and support comfortable, confident movement as children grow.

Supporting active, growing feet
When additional support is recommended, children’s orthotics should work with natural movement, not against it. Dr Insole’s custom orthotic insoles are individually crafted to suit each foot, offering gentle, appropriate support while allowing children to remain active.
Dr Insole’s bespoke children’s orthotics are designed to:
✔ Support foot stability and balance during everyday activity
✔ Encourage a more natural foot and ankle position
✔ Help address common biomechanical patterns and instability
✔ Improve the distribution of body weight through the feet and legs
✔ Provide gentle support without restricting movement
✔ Fit comfortably inside everyday footwear
Lightweight and flexible, each pair is carefully matched to your child’s individual needs, supporting healthy development as their feet continue to grow and change.
Children and Teens Orthotics (Ages 3 to 17)
Children’s feet continue to change throughout childhood and adolescence as posture, balance, coordination and activity levels develop. During these stages, some children experience foot instability, imbalance or altered walking patterns, which may benefit from gentle support while still allowing natural movement.
Custom orthotic insoles for children and teens are designed to help guide the feet into a more natural position, supporting stability and balance and encouraging healthy movement as your child grows. Each pair is individually made to suit your child’s feet, recognising that no two children develop in the same way.
Children can grow quickly, and their feet can change size very fast. For this reason, a second pair of orthotics is included at no additional cost. At Dr Insole, we focus on each child’s needs and aim to ensure families receive the greatest benefit from their orthotics during periods of growth, helping support developing feet as they continue to change.
